State Officer Team

Program of Work 2022-2023

The purpose of the 2022-2023 Program of Work is to outline the ambitious goals and initiatives the State Officer Team wishes to accomplish for the 2022-2023 membership year.

In order to enhance the membership’s experience, improve member participation, and increase the social media presence of Massachusetts Business Professionals of America, the State Officer Team has come up with various comprehensive steps to achieve these goals.

Meet your 2022-2023 State Officer Team!

Sahithi Pogula - Secondary President -

I am so excited and honored to serve as your 2022-2023 Secondary President. I am a rising senior at Hopkinton High School this fall. Taking a part in BPA for my fourth year is so special to me and has taught me so many lessons on perseverance and hard work. I now apply these lessons to various other areas of my life such as school, volunteer work, and other extracurricular activities. Outside of school, I run a nonprofit organization called MedAI, work as a social media officer at AirToAll, and volunteer at Technovation Girls to inspire girls to take a part in coding. I am also a classical Indian dancer and tennis player. In my free time, I love hanging out with friends and watching Netflix. My goal as a state officer is to help members truly immerse themselves in the wonderful opportunities that BPA offers and I am so grateful to have the ability to do so.

Sanketh Udupa - Secondary Vice President -

I am excited and proud to serve as your 2022-2023 Secondary Vice President. I am a senior at Hopkinton High School. I joined BPA during my sophomore year hesitantly, but this experience has turned out to be very fruitful. I’ve had so many fun memories from our past BPA year, and I only hope to build upon these memories to make much more with all the members. Outside of BPA, I do robotics and play professional badminton. From playing a fun game of pickup basketball, to going on adventurous bike rides, I love to spend time outdoors with friends and family. This is my second term as a State Officer, so I hope to expand upon the work we’ve done last year. I hope to continue networking with all the members and showing all that BPA has to offer! I am confident that this membership year will be a great year, and I hope the members are excited as much as we are!

Alveena Ehsan - Secondary Secretary -

I am so honored and grateful to serve as you 2022-2023 Secondary Secretary! I will be a senior at Hopkinton High School in the fall, and being a part of BPA has been one of the most impactful and rewarding experiences in my high school career. Through my three years in BPA, I have met so many amazing people and have learned and improved so many vital skills that will benefit me in my future, such as hard work and effective communication. Outside of school, I enjoy traveling, reading, or spending time with family and friends. My goal as a state officer is to encourage members of the BPA community to explore all the opportunities they have and to take advantage of them. I am so grateful for this opportunity, and I hope to make it the best year for everyone!

Sophia Pinarreta - Secondary Historian -

My name is Sophia Pinarreta and I am honored to serve as your 2022-2023 Massachusetts Secondary Historian! I am an upcoming senior in the HVAC/R Technology program at Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical School, which is where my BPA journey began. As a freshman, I was immediately drawn to BPA as I saw the positive impact it had on those around me. With my freshman year of BPA getting cut short, I was only motivated to do more within this amazing organization. Business Professionals of America has not only allowed me to learn real-life skills I will use in the future, it has also taught me how to be a better leader which inspired me to be a state officer. Aside from BPA, I am an active participant within my school community. I currently serve as President of my class and I am also a member of DECA, SkillsUSA, National Technical Honor Society (NTHS), National Honor Society (NHS), the Girls in Untraditional Trades club, as well as the Varsity Lacrosse team. Outside of school I enjoy watching hockey and Netflix, as well as napping. I look forward to helping others through their BPA journey and Giving Purpose to Potential this upcoming BPA year!

Evan Lewis - Secondary Parliamentarian -

I am thrilled to be serving as your 2022-2023 State Parliamentarian. I am a Junior at Keefe Technical high School in Framingham, Massachusetts. Outside of BPA I run varsity cross country and track for my school. I also love to spend time with my friends, either at the local park or online. This is my first year being a part of Business Professionals of America and because of that I am still learning many of the intricacies involved with the organization. I am very grateful to be able to learn about BPA from my fellow state officers, and grow not only as a person, but as a leader as well. I am proud to be part of this year’s State Officer Team who wish to make the best experience for our members as possible.

Victoria Pinarreta - Post-Secondary President -

My name is Victoria Pinarreta, and I am excited and honored to serve as your 2022-2023 Post-Secondary State President. I am currently a senior at Stonehill College in Easton, MA, where I major in Biology and minor in Psychology on the Pre-Dental track. I began my journey with BPA back in 2016 as a sophomore at Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical School, which has lent me countless experiences. BPA is such a fantastic organization that helps students develop the interpersonal skill-set needed inside and outside the academic atmosphere. Outside of BPA, I spend most of my time scrubbed into surgery as an oral and maxillofacial surgery assistant or lending a hand on my family’s farm. As your State Officer, I am committed to guiding each member in taking full advantage of the numerous opportunities BPA has to offer...and persuade you to continue your journey with the MA BPA Post-Secondary chapter!
